The differences between Racism and Prejudice is that, racism is when someone judges you by the color of your skin or by your race for example when a white person says to a black person I don't like black people or the other way around. PREJUDICE is when someone is has stated a preconceived opinion that is not based on a reason or actual experience. For example male prejudices for women, dislike, honesty, or unjust behavior deriving from unfounded opinions. Which means that prejudice and racism are two very different words and have two very different meanings. Well Ms. Fuller I hope you get to read my article about the differences between RACISM and PREJUDICE.

My example for PREJUDICE is, When I saw someone on seven mile with his hat turned to the back and a dirty shirt I thought he was homeless. So when you think someone is PREJUDICE it's like judging a book by its cover

The difference between racism and prejudice is, racism is when someone judges you by the color of your skin. For example, when a white person says something about how they hate or don't like black people. Prejudice on the other hand well that's just basically mean judging a person for how they look on the inside. For example, if someone look at a person and say they don't like them, well that person really don't know how that person is on the inside. So now I really realize that these two words mean different things black and white feel like they couldn't get along or do things with each other. Just because you look different from someone doesn't mean you don't have to like that person. These are the differences between prejudice and racism.

The difference between racism and prejudice is that racism is more typically when someone doesn't like another individual because of the color of their skin and/or their race. Being Prejudice is more so stating your opinion when you have no reason or actual experience with the subject that your speaking on what's so ever. For example i could see a video of a few teenagers holding a gun and i could say oh he's a thug or they are all thugs they're never going to get anywhere in life and in reality those same teenagers are 4.0 students, are well behaved, and knows right from wrong. With Racism it's a whole different scenario because for exampe: someone told me they do not like me because im black it doesn't just have to be a white person it could be a person thats also black and/or any other race. Alot of people gets the two mixed up and doesn't understand the actual meaning.

The difference between racism and prejudice is that racism is strictly dealing with race and how you feel about something or someone because of their race. Say for instinct you say " all black people like chicken " , and that racism beacause you have a thought about someone or something based on our color. Now prejudice is a thought about someone without actually experiencing it. Say for instinct you are walking down the street and see a guy with a body full of tattoos , and you say to yourself he's is a killer or bad person . That is what prejudice means, also one thing you can always think when you hear prejudice is pre-judge, and you will always know the meaning.

Racism and prejudice are Terrible things that shouldn't be so common in the 21st. There both so--well, Racist and prejudice. Racism is when someone who Believes in a certain Supremacy group, that thinks there group deserves an increased amount of Rights above the other Race. When a Race, gets in the way of important stuff. Like, Maybe you eat out, and a different race, lets say--German, doesn't want to sit next to an Indian Family, because of the color of there skin. Now, Prejudice is Similar to stereotype. "Dang, that guy over there is Jewish. He probably wont like you since your like, German and all." Hence the word 'similar'.

The difference between PREJUDICE and RACISM is that, prejudice is unreasonable attitudes, opinions and religious. Racism is hatred of another race or other races. Prejudice means to just pre-judge and think your own mind. I believe being prejudice is wanting to protect yourself. Being prejudice doesn't always include race.

The difference between RACISM and PREJUDICE is that racism is when all or certain members of a race think that they are better than another race or that they are at a higher class than another race and no matter what you say they're never going to like/accept you.Its not just whites and blacks, its all different types of races. Prejudice is that you don't like someone just because of how they look or because of a stereotype that you heard about that race without actually knowing anything about them.

Prejudice and racism, two words that some believe are similar and others tend to think otherwise. Me I happen to believe both sides are right let me explain. What comes to mind when you think of racism, what comes to my mind is that someone is doing nothing but hating on you just because they don't like how you look, racism is the belief that one race is better and more important than another or all the races, as Juanika said you can be racist to your own race. A really big example for me would be " your pretty for a dark girl". I have had people who were darker skin tone tell me this. Prejudice is totally different, prejudice is me, you, everyone, at least once in there life time everyone has done something prejudice if its crossing the street when you see a man that doest look right to you or something as a police officer seeing a man walk out the gas station thinking he stole something, by the way he is dressed if he has a hoodie on his head with his hands in his pockets looking down like he is trying to hide something when in fact he is just cold.

Racism and prejudice are different in many ways . Prejudice is an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason . Racism is a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others . A real life example of Prejudice is Similar or the same to the Mike Brown Case , when the police wrongfully Killed him for his Skin Color . A real life example of Racism is Similar or the same to The Boycott of 1955 , when they made her go to the back of the bus because of her skin color . Blacks couldn't even drink out the same fountain as whites .

I believe racism is when one particular human being does not like the other because of there color or what they display. Or simply said because of the differences that they have. Prejudice is an unfavorable opinion formed without knowledge. Now the differences are say you see a skunk coming up to you and turns around the first thought that comes to your mind is man he's gone to spray me. Instead the skunk didn't spray you he just so happened to wag his tail in front of you. A example for racist say I was at McDonald's and a white woman was taking my order and I said you white I don't want you taking my order that would be racist because I didn't like her color so I made a very disrespectful statment. Say a lion was running up to me now my first thought would be I'm dead meat. In actuality all the lion wanted to do was lick me but I still walked away slowly. Now say a Caucasian human being ask could they be my friend and I said no because your white that would happen to be rasict. Another example of rasism would be what happened to Rosa Parks because she was of color she had to sit it the back and let the white man sit in the front but she did not do as they said because she was standing on two feet and standing for equal rights for African Americans.

In my opinion the difference between racism and prejudice is that racism is when you simply don't like someone based on the color of their skin. For example, if I see a white person I would turn my head in disgust just because of what they look like. On the other hand, prejudice is when you basically judge someone or something based on what they look like or what they are known for. For example, if a see a loose pitbull I would turn in the opposite direction because some are known for a attacking, but in reality the dog is trained and just got lost. Many people compare racism and prejudice but fail to realize that they have opposite meanings.

Like for a example when a white man calls a black man a "black nigger" or when they calls a women a "Ignorant Black Women. An prejudice means preconceived opinion that's is not based on reason or actual experience. For a example, a women/men may hold prejudice views towards a certain kind of race or gender etc. This what I know about the difference of racism and prejudice

Racism mean The believe that all members of each race process characteristics or abilities specific to that race , especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. Prejudice mean in law harm or injury that result or may result from some action or judgment. If you are prejudice you "pre judge" others without fact based data. You are catagorizing a certain group or an individual based on a stereotype. For example, all black people are lazy, all jews are greedy, all arabs are terrorists, and white people are racist. Prejudice is an irrational thought or feeling you have about an entire group of people, based on stereotypes and is often directed toward different ethnic or racial group. Racism is a kind of prejudice but deals strictly with race. It is the dislike of an individual or group of people based on their race and nothing else. Racism is usually deep rooted and passed down through generations.

There are many differences between racism and prejudice. Many people believe that they both have the same meaning when they actually don't. Racism is when a race discriminates another race. In other words have a very strong hate. For instance if you ever watched the boondocks Uncle ruckus would be consisdered a racist. He would be considered a racist because he always treated blacks disrespectfully and he really didn't belive it was ok or acceptable for whites to socialize with blacks.

Racism and prejudice are different in many ways. Prejudice is a judgement on someone without knowing them. Racism is when you talk about the skin tone of someone or when you think one race is better than the other. For example if there were handicapped people at your school and you are supposed to share lunch together and you choose to sit else where because you didn't want to be around disabled people and you felt they were not as good as you are or able to socialize like other people you are being prejudice because your judging someone you haven't met or known. An example for racism could be when two groups of children were doing a project and they were different skin color so one group thought they were better than the other. This is how racism and prejudice can be different from each other.

Racism is the belief that another group of race is lower of higher than another. An example is that a company hires the white person instead of the black person only because of their race. Another example is that a Mexican is guilty of murder instead of a white person in court when the white person had more evidence against him/her. Prejudice stereotyping a certain group without an actual experience. An example is that all Muslims are evil due to the massacre at September 11, 2001. another example would be that the skinny kid wasn’t chosen for a game of football because the others thought he was too weak. Neither of these a better than another. Both are terrible and shouldn’t be practiced. Without these the world would be a more peaceful place.

To me racism is the belief that human races have distinctive characteristics which determine their respective cultures, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule or dominate others. Also racism is people or groups that are defined by their inherent differences (skin color, culture, appearance) and that, because of these differences, one group is seen to be better than the other. On the other hand prejudice is preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. But deeper than that its more about feeling of dislike for a person or group because of race, sex, religion. But the way i see it is a person who judges you in a cruel and mean manner making you feel less than in their opinion trying to hurt someones feelings. So all in this is my definition of racism and prejudice.

What is the difference between Racism and Prejudice? 9/13/2015 08:02:22 am
Racism is something that has been taught or was developed by culture. It is when a group of people don't like you based on what color you are. Racism is when people don't like you and think that you are worthless. For example people who are racist they use to think Africa Americans did not have rights . They believed that they owned blacks. Racism is poor treatment or violence towards a different race. It is when people believe that they are better than blacks because of there skin color. I believe that you are not born racist somebody had to teach you or make you. Nobody can just wake up one day and say oh I don't like them because of there color. There parents or grandparents or somebody had to teach them not to like people. Racism is when white people don't like and treat you like trash and beat you over and over again.

The difference to me is that racism is like when they look at your color and star judge you but they really don't know you they just think because you black that you kill and prejudice to me is hate they hate you of your color in not saying that everybody is like that but have you ever walked by a white person and they look at you funny or they say something and you just start thinking. The Tavon Martin story was hate because he thought just because he was black that he had a gun or was a gang banger but really he was just walking with a bottle but the men didn't think that so he shot him. But when's us blacks go get justice they want us to forget slavery but they don't was us to forget 9/11 that's not right just like nobody will get 9/11 nobody will forget slavery. I just feel like white people judge us more then we need to be just because we a different color don't mean we a different person. They need not to look a the color but look a what's inside. It is some black people that are racism I'm not saying that everybody is but it's more then it should be.

I think the difference between racism and prejudice is that being racist is when someone is showing hatred of another race.Being prejudice is when another race judges a different race then also separating themselves its kind of like protecting themselves.Prejudice can also occur when someone is talking about someones height, weight,or how a person may look to them.I think at times I can be prejudice and one reason why I said that is because If I see someone that looks very tacky and unpresentable I tend to sometimes judge them. For example I might say "Look at him/her!." Why would they even leave out of the house looking like that?.Some people think that being racist is judging another race you can actually be racist to your same race,it's not always a black person judging white person or a white person judging blacks and that's what everyone needs to learn.

As you may know ,there are many differences between racism and prejudice. Prejudice is an opinion that is not based on a fact ,logic or actual experience. Prejudice is basically referred to a negative attitude when dealing with hatred. For example some people accusing others of being gay because of the way they act . Bullying for example can be prejudice against people who are different. Another Example of prejudice is when landlords doesn't rent to those who are gay . Racism on the other hand is basically hatred or less human because of someone's skin color or language . For example when a black person goes into a store that is white owned they constantly get watched or followed around. In the criminal system the court or judge usually gives the white person less time for the crime and the black person more time for crime just because of the skin color . Sometimes when things don't go a black person way they usually call a white person trash or a cracker and sometimes the white person calls the black person a "nigger" which was used in slave times. As a result racism is based off of race or hatred of someone's genetic future and prejudice is to be human, basically judging someone off of first contact.

The difference between racism in prejudice is that racism is when someone judge by the color of your skin or how they treat by the color of your skin. Prejudice is a discrimination to someone based on there different race based on the belief that one race is superior. A real life example of racism is when these police pull over a black male or female they harass them because of the color of there skin. Also a real life example for prejudice is when MLK marched for prejudice to be stop for example like whites was fighting against blacks and they didn't want us black to drink out the same water fountains as whites .

The difference between racism and prejudice is, racism is when one race is crucial and hatred towards another race. Prejudice to me means when someone is judging something or somebody by their looks or actions. I dont think that anyone should be neither one of these two things towards one another. I have been prejudice to someone before and it felt wrong and nobody should do it. I have never been racist before though because there is nobody better than the other and everybody is the same in my eyes. To me racism and prejudice are they same and shouldn't be used at all. Both are used to judge people and both can hurt people's feelings. This is the different means between racism and prejudice.

So today I'm going to be typing about is what is the difference between rasicm and prejudice.First, the definition for rasicm is The belief that all members of each race possess characteristic or abilities specific race ,especially as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. My personal experience is when I was at the and I had to stand in line so I can pay for my clothes that I was going to by.Then I saw these people with scarfs on there head and it was a lot of them. But this man came out know where and said that we can not stand in the same line as them and they cannot be next to us.Which basically he was saying that he doesn't what to be by us because there not the same race as us and we just don't get along. After that happened the man at the store was trying to put him out be ended up talking to him and calming him down, and telling him it wasn't right you did. Finally that was my personal experience on racism. Now I'm going to tell you guys about prejudism. The definition for that is preconceived opinion that is based on based on reason actual experience. My personal experience on prejudism is When the time I was at Chucky Chesse and I was there for my cousin birthday and we all was in the slide. We were all blacks and But some were in there that is black but they were lightskin. So we were all having a good time we ran across this little boy in a crowd and he said he wanted to play with us and we going to until he didn't want to play me but he wanted to play with my lightskin cousin. So we were trying to tell him that he is black but he is just lightskin. So what I'm trying to say is he was judging me on my color and that is what prejudice mean. Finally, that is my personal experience. Now the main part this whole paragraph is that racism mean like people from Canada cannot come to Michigan without a passport and say that person comes over here and you can spot him for anywhere because of what he wears or his voice type.Instead of judging him saying some negative.Prejudice can when I'm throwing the football and he asks me to throw the ball to him and I don't do it.And he ask me why didn't throw it to him and I tell beacause your white.

The difference of RACISM and PREJUDICE is that racism is the belief that ever member of a certain race possess certain characteristics that would deem them either superior or inferior. While on the other hand prejudice is just making judgments about people or things without any prior knowledge. A historical example of racism was the Jim Crow era. White people especially those from the south belived them selfs as superior to black African Americans and viewed then as inferior. An example of prejudice is seeing two men walking next to each other down the street and assuming that they are homosexual with out having any prior knowledge about the. Men. Racism and prejudice are two completely different things one being based off race hence the name and one being based from anything you see and base judgement on.

Racism is when members of an race have diffrent beliefs that each race has the same traits and also that one pacfic race us superior to the other. Prejudice is when you dont have proper evidence and also you never had an physical interaction with the evidence. the whites wrongfully acused the native americans as savages because the way they talk and look.the whites took there land and killed alot of the natives americans because they felt like it and had power. my mom was wrongfully acussed of going over the speed limit when she wasnt my mom has only been caught going over the speed limit once in her life.

I believe the difference from racism and prejudice is that racism is the belief that one race is better than the other. prejuidce is very similar to racism. Being prejudice is not liking someone or judging them based on their appearance or background. An a example of racism is slavery. Slavery was because one race (white) thought they were better than the other (black). This lead them to becoming property , funny how the human mind works. Now an example of prejudice, is like a heterosexual person making fun of a homosexual person. That is a example of prejudice. 9/13/2015 06:43:02 pm

The differences between prejudice and racism are examples of discrimination and prejudgement. If I was to say I couldn't talk to someone because they're homeless or because they're from a different culture that'll be categorized with prejudice. As another example for prejudice is to say that I can't sit in a class room with someone that wears an hijab. Also being prejudice is basically stating your opinion when there's no reason to. Being prejudice is bascally judging an book by it's cover. Racism on the other hand is judging someone by their looks or skin color. For example someone saying them not liking one another because they're black, white,Hispanic, etc is being racsim . These are real life examples and differences between racism and prejudice :

The difference between racism and prejudice is that racism means all members of all races characteristics or abilities specific to that races, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race of races. Therefore prejudice means preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. Second meaning of prejudice is harm or injury that result from action or judgement. The difference of the words are that racism is the belief that one race is superior to another. That has to be taught, or developed as a cultural ideology. Therefore prejudice is different because Prejudice is the prejudging of a situation or person based upon less than all the facts. Prejudice is a survival mechanism. It developed to keep us safe: If you see a lion charging at you, you will automatically assume it is going to eat you. In conclusion that is how racism and prejudice are not the same. 9/13/2015 08:55:34 pm
To me racism i judgment by skin tone or race. To me prejudice is going against your own race or type. My opinion on racism is that we should come together weather we are white, black, asian,ot even Hispanic. I believe that if we try to come together we can succeed. My opinion on prejudice is that going against our own people os crazywe should accept each other as well as respect one another. My real life example of racism one day i was accused of stealing it was a white cashier and i had on on all black and and a purse on she asked to check me and i didn't have it i left and kept going to different stores. A real life example of prejudice is we have alot pf black on black crime in detroit when in all favor we should be helping each other instaed of killing each other. That was my essay of whats the difference between RACISM AND PREJUDICE.

The differences between prejudice and racists. Well, racists means when a person believes their race is more superior to than others. Ex a 14 year old African American girl got in a altercation with another student was teased by an white school officer. That was an huge way of showing racism because he take the black girl instead of trying to break up the two girls. Prejudice means an opion that is not based on real reasons or facts. Also it could be a harm or injury that results or may result from some action or judgement. Example a person may hold prejudice views towards a certain race or gender etc.

In my opinion the difference between prejudice and racism is prejudice is just someone assuming your a bad person without actually getting to know you and racism is when people make jokes about your skin and culture or when people dislike or hate u because of it Comments are closed.
